As each project team heads into the major push forward towards a system design, it can become difficult to remember that your team still needs to exercise design empathy, and keep the human needs of real (albeit potential) users in mind.

Your project team is starting to make decisions on the system you want to provide for your retail client's shopping carts. This is what we'd call "system focus". But because this is an HCD class, your team is equally tasked with keeping your real (albeit potential) users in mind when you are making decisions on functions, interface choices, action sequences, and aesthetics.

As you head into this week's ideation testing with users, reflect on what you and your team are doing to balance this struggle. What is your team doing to make sure you keep human users in mind? How are you managing the balance between choices that deliver on real users' needs, and choices that fit the technical vision you have for your end solution?

Two or three full paragraphs on this.Incorporate your design language learned in the class.
