As we will discuss over the next 3 classes, the original colonization of the Pacific Islands (including Easter Island) has been a fascinating discussion for over a century. One of the most interesting characters within this discussion is the Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl.

I'd like you to do some on-line research and come up with (I am hoping) really interesting and not-well-known facts about his quest to see if Polynesia could have been originally settled from South America.
