As you are well aware our current president takes a very aggressive view of international relations and trade. From viewing his many Presidential Executive Orders he is moving more and more into an isolationist mode. He is also trying to accomplish bringing back overseas corporate operations by any means possible. Further, he would like to repatriate the $3 trillion of untaxed corporate profits sitting overseas.
Other than coercion he would like to use corporate tax reform to bring manufacturing back to this country, as well as the untaxed profits. He would further like to use corporate tax reform to create jobs, increase revenues and, especially make our corporations more competitive in the world market place.
In this paper you are simply to discuss corporate tax reform. What does the current administration's tax reform look like? Is it on the right track? Is it accomplishing the intended goals?
Further, you are to discuss what corporate tax reform looks like. What, if any changes were made to the way we tax our global corporations? Are attitudes in this country changing because of reform? Are these changes being helpful to our economy and the economies of the world? How are they affecting consumers? Inflation? World economies? Tensions between countries?
These are just food for thought. You do not have to answer all or any of the questions noted. You can use them in any way you want to form your own ideas and thoughts. There is no lack of information out there on this topic as I am sure you are well aware.
