Assignment 1: LASA: Organizational Development Proposal Report ( 7 Pages )
Creating an Organizational Development Proposal requires analysis and application of what you have learned about planned change and organizational development. Since organizations will continue to change, and organizational problems will never cease, be assured that challenges and opportunities to share your expertise await you.
Throughout this course, you worked on various sections of your Organizational Development Proposal Report for the organization where you currently work, or one for which you have recently worked or know well. This report is for the president of your selected organization. In Module 3, you developed Section 1, the Organizational Setting. In Module 5, you developed Section 2, the Problem Diagnosis.
For this assignment, you will develop the final two sections of your Organizational Development Proposal Report in 7 pages. You will then finalize and combine all the previously developed sections into your final report.

Part 1: Organizational Development Proposal Report Section 3—Proposed Intervention
Complete the following:
- Evaluate several interventions and determine the best choice for the organization. Based on the risk posed by the problem and citing relevant research, justify your choice of the recommended intervention, supported by an applicable theory.
- Design the strategy to implement the chosen intervention. Develop and prioritize the specific procedures needed for successful implementation of the intervention. The following questions are provided as examples of the detail that this section requires.
- Who will be involved in the implementation?
- What is the timeline for implementation?
Write this section in approximately 3-4 pages. Utilize approximately 3 to 4 scholarly resources.
Part 2: Organizational Development Proposal Report Section 4—Action Plan for Change
Create an action plan including the following. As you create this action plan, be mindful of the need to ensure success and minimize resistance.
- Discuss ways to motivate different levels of employees to support the intervention. Identify and develop strategies to manage barriers and resistance to organizational change.
- Explain how the organization should communicate the changes and the suggested timeframe necessitated by the change.
- Determine if any training is needed.
- Examine how the organization should collect feedback about the change after one month, six months, and a year.
- Include a Summary
Your plan should be approximately 3-4 pages and utilize approximately 3 to 4 scholarly resources.
Assignment 2: Discussion—Organizational Dynamics ( 1 Page )
In this assignment, you will closely examine the important aspects of organizational change processes. You will also explore how leadership choice, organizational dynamics, and trust factors can help or hinder organizational change.
Respond to the following:
- Identify the organizational dynamics than can affect the success or failure of organizational change efforts.
- Explain why a proper match between a leader’s personality and the desired organizational culture is critical for successful change. Give examples from your professional experiences to illustrate your points.
- Reflect on the desired organizational culture, organizational change, and leader personality types in your readings, research, and practice. Which have resonated the most with you and why? How have you applied, or will you apply, these aspects?
Give reasons in support of your responses. Be sure to cite any relevant resources.
