At this point in the course, you should have read a few articles related to your literature review topic. You should be taking notes on the articles you read and be critically examining the empirical evidence. Here I'd like you to develop one possible argument that you could make in your literature review. 

One possible argument is that a gap exists in the literature. If you use this argument specify precisely where this gap might exist (e.g., please no vague assertions here). For example, if your topic was interventions for generalized anxiety disorder perhaps one gap is in research examining mindfulness techniques.

Another argument might be that there is a controversy. If you use this argument specify exactly what the controversy is (again veer away from vague answers). For example, there may be a controversy around the idea that stereotype threat is caused by increased anxiety.

Finally, you might have a state of the art (or state of the state) argument. Be clear what is new. Here, you might argue that psychedelic  drugs present a new and exciting approach to treating PTSD.
