General instructions:

NPs diagnose and treat clients who present with pain. Although effective pain management is critical, the use of opioid medications can lead to an increased risk of misuse. Application of responsible opioid prescribing practices can help decrease the incidence of opioid misuse. In this paper, you will summarize two scholarly articles related to responsible opioid prescribing and describe how the information may impact your future practice and client outcomes.

2. Use the Chamberlain library to locate at least TWO scholarly articles related to responsible opioid prescribing. Review the NP Program Expectations for Scholarly SourcesLinks to an external site..
3. Review the following resources for writing:

3. Conclusion
   1. Summarize the general topic of the paper in 1-2 sentences.
   2. Summarize key points from the Scholarly Article Summary section of the paper in 1-2 sentences.
   3. Summarize key points from the Impact on Practice section of the paper in 1 -2 sentences.
4. APA Paper Formatting
   1. Include title page in APA format
   2. Organize the paper using APA style level headings for the required sections of the paper
   3. Include an alphabetized reference page
   4. Include a complete reference for each citation included in the body of the paper and a citation for each included reference.
5. APA Reference Formatting
   1. Use current APA format free of errors to format citations and references.
6. Writing Requirements
   1. Communicate with minimal errors in English grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation.
7. Submission and review
   1. Submit your completed assignment to the Week 5 Dropbox. Your submission will automatically be submitted to Turnitin.

   3. Revise any areas of concern. You may submit the assignment one additional time before the due date. If you choose to resubmit, the second submission will be considered final and subject to grading.
