Based on the PowerPoint lecture, the video, and the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy article on John Locke, especially the section on the "State of Nature," please answer the following question in a 2-page essay due Sept 23.

Question: First, describe the fundamental political ideology expressed by John Locke, looking specifically at his ideas about the state of nature, natural rights, and the chief role of government. Then, explain and demonstrate which of our founding documents best articulates his ideas the most clearly. Be sure to provide evidence from the document itself to support your argument.
