What Is Management And Why Does It Matter?

          Management is incorporated in all types of business in some way because it is management that directs the different efforts towards the 

organizations goals. According to Harold Koontz, "Management is the art of getting things done through and with the people in formally organized groups.

 It is an art of creating an environment in which people can perform and individuals can co-operate toward the attainment of group goals". F.W. Taylor 

states that "Management is the art of knowing what to do, when to do it and see that it is done in the best and cheapest way". 

           Management is a sequence of unified duties that includes organizing, strategic planning, controlling, staffing and directing which helps to design

 the management plan. A solid management plan is a blueprint to ensure that the organizations mission is carried out and the day to day tasks needed

 to support the mission and to get the most out of resources, add the most value and get the best return. 

           Management is a purposeful continuous activity and requires on going handling and monitoring of daily responsibilities to safeguard the success

of the organization and to ensure that all are working together to achieve goals.
