Case 2 This is a healthy 21-yearaold female who presents today for removal of an impacted molar, lowerleft side. The panoramic radiograph shows the tooth to be in a good position now, but due to thepain it is causing the patient and the slight movement of the existing teeth, surgical interventionis needed to get the tooth out before any further movement can occur. PROCEDURE: The patient was given Versed and conscious sedation was achieved. The lower jaw area was also in'ected with 2% Lidocaine. The gingiva was removed from the surface withan elevator. —. The soft tissue was dissected to expose the impacted tooth and the tooth was removed in whole. The area was then rinsed and all dehrisremoved before two sutures were placed with 4-D silk.
