The KLM Airlines case study provides an overview of the business of information technology, organizational maturity, and IT funding models. Read Case Study “KLM Airlines,” and answer the questions regarding the decision by KLM’s leadership to move to a governance structure.

Answer the following questions in complete 2-3 pages paper, which represent the specific critical elements that must be addressed for this assignment:

• 1.      Structure: What is likely to have led to increased trust for the IT organization?
• 2.      Expenses: What might explain an item that is seemingly quite unrelated to IT (costs per kilometer flown) decreased as a result of the new CIO structure?
• 3.      Maturity: What maturity level did KLM appear to exhibit (a) in 2000 and (b) in 2011? Why?
