Change and innovation are often viewed as a general phenomenon rather than a procedurally driven application to a specific criminal justice agency. As we have progressed from the twentieth century into the twenty-first century, there have been many changes and innovations within criminal justice organizations. In Chapters 3 and 11, which discuss organizational environments and conflict, you learned that many issues and actors come into play regarding organizations and change.
