Description

1. Raw input material

This is the main activity of the company. The focus should be placed on the raw materials used for the production in order to find room for improvement to increasing productivity and profitability.

2. Refrigeration and hot water delivery

The facility has three freezing rooms of which only two are functional during the winter. Heat leaks into the freezers are suspected due to poor insulation.

The cleaning process requires hot water. There are heat losses identified with the distribution of the hot water from the heater due to poor insulation in these pipes.

3. Cleaning

Cleaning and sanitizing occurs at the end of the production day. Dry-cleaning, water and chemicals are used during this process. The process is found to be time and labor intensive.
