For this assignment you will choose your method and write only to that method—not both  mine is qualitive 

Write a paper (1,250-1,500 words) in which you revise your research questions and provide a theoretical foundation or conceptual framework that will ground your study. Use either the qualitative or quantitative directions below depending on your topic. Hint: Review relevant literature and theories that provide a foundation for understanding the problem.

Please note:   A phenomena is defined as a fact, occurrence, or circumstance observed or observable. You are to discuss the nature of the issue that you are exploring. This means —what is going on that you are noticing? What makes individuals want to shop at Nordstroms and not another store? Describe this using your observational skills. This is not a restatement of the Problem Statement :) 

Qualitative Topics

1.     Restate the problem statement and the phenomenon for your proposed topic. You will have received feedback from the first assignment which is “my opinion only” and hopefully attended two of my open office hours or posted in the Instructor Added Forum for more feedback on your topic. You will continue to refine your statement during many courses and nothing is in stone until your Proposal Defense with your Committee!

1. State the research questions and defend how these questions address the problem statement and phenomenon identified in the problem statement. How might the answers to these research questions inform the problem space? Please-before you state the RQs, indicate the theory you are using and which of the aspects/dimensions/characteristics you are including in your study. With the theory identified, I can help you ensure your RQs are aligned.

3.     Outline the key concepts or constructs included in the theoretical foundation or conceptual framework. Please include a graphic (GoogleImages) of your theory and indicate what portions are being included in your study

4.     Explain how the theory(ies) or conceptual framework guide the research topic identified from the problem space. This is where you are making the connection to your Problem Spae articles, the theory and the RQs

5.     Defend why this theoretical foundation or conceptual framework was selected over other alternatives. I look forward to this discussion!

6.     Clarify the relationships or connections between these components and how they contribute to understanding the research phenomenon. Please follow the instructions above for framing the phenomenon statement.
