Scenario

You are a Computer Hardware Engineer working as a consultant on a project for a large corporation. The company is upgrading its information technology environment, including remote offices, and you are working to standardize the use of equipment within the entire company. To ensure there is consistent use of hardware, you will write a reference manual for the staff to use during day-to-day operations.

Instructions

Write a reference manual for at least 3 computational devices, 3 data storage technologies, and 3 network and communications devices. In order for the manual to be effective, you will need to research and include the specific details of the following items for each device:

• Hardware Name
• Components
• Electrical requirements
• How the hardware device is used
• Computer science technology (such as Request For Comments (RFC) publication)

Create and submit one Word (.docx) document that includes a section for each type of hardware device. Your document should include:

• A cover sheet
• A Table of Contents (TOC)
• An introduction
• Headings and sub-headings to organize each section/topic, including:
  • Hardware Name
  • Introduction
