The FDO,( also commonly known as the Receptionist ) is responsible for representing the company to the public the minute they walk in an establishment especially if it’s within a hospitality industry. The important issue here is that the Receptionist creates a lasting impression to the visitors. There are many openings for a Front Desk Officer internationally.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
One of the main tasks of a Receptionist involves taking care of the accommodation. According to educare.intnet ( 2009 ) these are just some of the tasks a Receptionist must perform :
Issuance of room keys and room assignments.
