Children with EBD show this kind of emotional or behavior problems even after significant support and intervention and show their deviated attitude at multiple occasions and environments which adversely affect their learning capabilities. A very important point to note in this scenario is that this kind of emotional deprived behavior is not a response to a stress present in their learning environment. The child might present four or more types of agitated responses or characteristics: The child is unable to maintain a socially active behavior or at least satisfactory relationship with the peers or adults . Child demonstrates a general behavior of unhappiness or melancholy. She/he shows a symptom of fear or stress either related to personal or school problems. He is unable to cope up with the learning activities despite support or intervention. Shows lack of responsibilities liability.(Yell,2009) However this emotional behavior disorder definition is still very indistinct. The characteristics that pass as symptoms of EBD are oblique. Fear or differential teacher tolerance, antisocial behavior could be due to any of the external pressures faced by the children for example, separation of the parents, poverty or any other social condition. However, if the child is emotionally disturbed curriculum modification or direct skill learning will not diminish the problem. The child requires an alternate group setting within a regular school environment in order to learn. These programs focusing mainly on. self care social behavior, anger management, anxiety reduction and behavioral control. These programs teach the children to relocate skills learned in these courses to other environments as well. For this essay we will select a special educator, a regular educator, a parent and an administrator’s views to operate and organize a SPED team for EBD. To create a balance between ever changing emotional and physical state of a child is a difficult task for the child on his own. Parents can prevent this from happening by providing a child with the right environment at home. A positive environment at home creates a pool for all the frustration and emotional disturbance to be dumped from his/her nature plus a positive attitude revealed by the parents nurtures a positive approach in children. However the EBD children give a real hard time to their parents which can be decreased by adopting new strategies like providing proper framework to the child, decreasing emotional distress by both the parents and the child. Parents themselves should take basic parenting training to prevent, reduce and treat these behavioral problems. These programs train the parents to ignore, distract or redirect the aggression shown by children, to praise the child increase self confidence and self care, to give proper time to children promotes healthy responses in children. Teachers work closely with the children and it is considered their responsibility when a child shows lack of result.
