The book is highly likely to resonate more with divorced women that have children than other divorced parties, because Morrisey writes from firsthand experience of a divorced mother. The principal purpose of writing the book as Morrisey explicitly states, is to give hope to divorced persons and show them that future holds more positive things than their past or even present. As the author expressly indicates in the preface section, the book is meant to act as a guide for recovering divorcees and divorced men and enable them to live in a manner that they have always yearned to live. Morrisey places emphasis on the idea that recovery from the effects of divorce all depends upon the affected individual.
