Gordon Allport is considered the founding theorist of the dispositional approach towards psychology.
A study by Daryl and Andrea (1974) reveals interesting facts about predicting human behavior. They conducted the study in their search for cross-situational consistencies. It is believed that nomothetic assumptions about traditional research paradigm are wrong (Daryl and Andrea, 1974).
