In the 2005 a company paid $50 million for damages after a law suit settlement filed by workers for claims of discrimination (Doyle 56).

Discrimination can be of various types and magnitude, and they include hiring and firing, job allocations within a company, biasness and many more. Discrimination in companies is highly felt by employees especially when it comes from the management staff, for instance when managers favors a group of employees because they are from the same race, denying others the chance to exercise their duties which they could do better than the favored employees.

There are several laws against discrimination in work place.
