I have always wanted to change the gender inequalities that are in my workplace. A good example is my workplace’s perception that women still need to be submissive and timid. Many of the women, therefore, refrain from making contributions in meetings for fear of judgment. To make these changes, a lot of gender sensitization needs to be done, so that the men can start appreciating the women as equal partners to them. As a worker, I have opted to always take a firm stand especially when it comes to women issues.
