One of the key issues regarding the diversity strategy is ethnicity or ethnic groups and their origin. Diversity is about recognizing that success in any practice entails incorporating the diverse gifting and talents of people from different ethnic backgrounds. This is to say that a blend of diverse talents leads variety which breeds innovation, creativity and invention and these are eminent ingredients to success. In addition, diversity is a reflection of ever transforming the world, and such makes people come across new challenges. Thus, a diverse team is better prepared to deal with these challenges by being used in different ethnic environments. Furthermore, globalization is all about making the world to appear like a small village where people of different cultural origin, religious beliefs and values, traditional practices, and languages co-exist . Therefore, in implementing the diversity strategy globally gives every individual an equal chance of realizing the unrevealed potential in them (Mark, 2010). For instance, the business nature makes us realize how diversity with respect to ethnicity is important, if we are to be in tune with our consumers. An example is the case of the L’Oreal approach of employing ethnic spokesmen, as well as advertising in ethnic magazines. Also, it is evident in cooperating with agencies aimed at marketing to specific ethnic and promoting their products to their prospective multicultural customers.
