Considering the advice offered by John Kotter in the article titled "Leading Change: Why Transformation Efforts Fail," what do you think are some of the major potential obstacles to successful transition by the manufacturing firm to the use of a 3PL to manage and operate its distribution centers?
Assume that you are the VP Supply Chain for the manufacturing firm and that you are personally responsible for the successful transition to the use of a 3PL. What are the leadership characteristics (people and/or structure) that will be directly related to the success or failure of this transition?
