Course Project - Informed Research Genre in your Discipline

You have done extensive research at this point that lends to this informed research project. Not only did you complete a genre collection and analysis exercise, but you have completed a proposal and an annotated bibliography to help you become an informed researcher on your chosen topic. In meeting this project's goal, you are applying what you have learned about your genre and your field as well as the writing process, research practices, and writing skills to create an analytical piece that benefits others in your field and affords your participation in your field's discourse community.

Instructions

For this project, you are to create a scholarly, researched work in your discipline (your choice). Include the following as a completed project:

·       6- to 8-pages, not including the cover, abstract, or reference pages or similar attributes

·       A minimum of five (5) sources, two of which must be peer-reviewed articles  

·       Exemplifies the highest standards of the particular genre you chose For instance, if you chose a scholarly journal article, it should meet the standards for that genre in relation to other articles published in the discipline.

·       Formatted consistent with APA guidelines

Consider creation of a time management plan including the following activities for the project:

·       Invention

·       Research

·       Drafting

·       Peer Review

·       Revision

·       Editing

·       Publishing
