Research and evaluate: Court Cases. Students will be able to research a topic in-depth and critically evaluate both sides of the following Court Cases. Students will be able to use both primary source documents and secondary sources to support a position.Students will know and demonstrate knowledge of the moral, ethical and constitutional issues and impact of the court cases on the society.

Instructions:

a. Read about the following court cases.

Plessy v. Ferguson (1896).

Brown v. Board of Education (1954)

b. List the sequence of events.

c. Write a one page summary for each of the court cases and include briefly the arguments of

the prosecution and the defense in each of the above court cases (you are writing about

the issues of both sides). Add conclusion and your opinion at the end of the report.
