The School of Communication and Media offers a B.S. in Journalism, a B.S. in Media & Entertainment, a B.S. in Organizational & Professional Communication, a B.S. in Public Relations, a Master of Arts in Integrated Global Communication, and a Graduate Certificate in Digital & Social Media.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in Communication and Media. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
The School of Communication and Media is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach undergraduate courses in the lower division, including Human Communication; Public Speaking Communication Law, Ethics and Diversity; Research Methods; Introduction to Mass Communication; and Visual Communication.
Part-time faculty are hired from the school’s pool of applicants on a semester-by-semester basis. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and courses may be assigned at the Kennesaw or Marietta campus. Qualified out-of-state candidates with demonstrated success in online teaching are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- An earned Master’s/Terminal/Doctorate in Communication, Journalism or related field or the foreign equivalent is required.
- Extensive relevant professional experience (20+ years in management/leadership) may be considered in lieu of a master’s degree in Communication in some circumstances.
