Create a 3 page essay paper that discusses What qualities do you believe you possess that will enable you to perform effectively as a student and later as a practicing nurse.

I loved helping people with health problems and would always volunteer myself to assist in first aid. Despite being involved in helping people I always worked hard in class. Pursuing a career in nursing requires hard work and dedication. These are my strong qualities which have enabled me to achieve the current academic qualifications. I am focused, dedicated and hardworking thus in a position to handle challenges of nursing college.

I have always believed in discipline, obedience and submission to authority. These are qualities that have enabled me sail through previous academic institutions and also blend well with family and society. Since these are the core qualities necessary for a nursing student, I will be best placed in the nursing school.

An excellent nursing student requires good communication and team work skills (Winter 1). These are some of the skills that I have gained through training, personal development and my personal experience as a student in primary and high school level. I know the importance of good communication skills in a nursing school and this skill will be of utmost benefit to me. I will be able to communicate with lecturers, fellow students, school administration and patients during fieldwork.

My life has been a tough road since I have had to deal with very challenging situations both in school life and at a personal level. This has enabled me to be adaptable and enduring. Life in nursing school will be a totally new environment to me and I will easily adapt to the environment. Through endurance, I will be able to keep strong even when college and academic life becomes difficult. Giving up has never been part of me.
