He offered Ronnie a free membership and requested to train him for a bodybuilding competition known as Mr. Texas that was to be performed later that year. In the competition, Coleman won first place in heavyweight and overall categories defeating Dobson, who was his trainer.

In the year 1995, Coleman succeeded to be in the first position in the competition as a professional and in 1997, he won the Russian Grand Prix. His success as a professional bodybuilder has led him to many opportunities in his career. He has so far made three training videos. During his training, he prefers using free weights to machines for him to maximize his flexibility and action. In 2001, he received Admiral in Texas Navy Certificate Award for several achievements in bodybuilding and the promotion of body fitness. Some years later in 2009, he was arrested for taking off a police officer despite the fact that he had served in the police force for some years.

He became a champion in the Night of the Champions in the year 1998. Still, in 1998, he was honored with the title of Grand Prix Finland and Germany. Between 1999 and 2004, he was the holder of the Grand Prix in England and the World Pro Championships as well. Moreover, he was named the winner of the New Zealand Grand Prix in 2001 and the holder of Grand Prix Holland between 2002 and 2004.
