Create a Statement of Purpose for your proposed experimental or survey design study.

For class purposes, you will select one of the following topics: Bullying or Satisfaction (employee or customer.) See examples below:

Experiment: The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of a year-long anti bullying program on the number of discipline incident reports at Jones Middle School. Data will be collected through pre and post discipline records.

Survey Design: The purpose of this study is to determine the satisfaction level of the employees working the night shift at Memorial Hospital. A questionnaire will be used to collect data.

Assignment 2:

Use EBSCO to locate an actual study (Survey Design or Experimental Design) in the topic you used in your SOP (Bullying or Satisfaction), summarize, in detail, all aspects of the study. Discuss only the study that was conducted by your author….do not include information from their literature review. Include all APA documentation.

For help with EBSCO, please contact the Librarians and they can help you locate a study. They are familiar with the Research Methods class and the need for studies in the area of Bullying and Satisfaction.

For Assignment 3, complete the Introduction for your own proposed Research Project Proposal.

Include: 

Title Page (The Running head will now be the Title of your own Research Project Proposal.)  

Statement of Purpose, 

Significance of the Study (Include the reason the study would be important to the location you selected, describe the location, size, etc. and then include the summary of the study (EBSCO) on your topic that you used in Assignment 2.) and Reference.

For Assignment 4: Include: Title Page, Abstract, Revised Introduction, and Review of Literature (6 Full Pages), Reference Page, all  in APA style.

For Assignment 5:

Refer to the  Study Guide to complete the Research Design and Conclusion.

Include:  Title Page, Introduction, Review of Literature, and References

Complete the Hypothesis or Research Question.

Complete the Methodology: Sample, Procedures, Study Design, and Data Analysis

Complete the Results and Conclusions: probable findings and conclusions/opinion

Complete Generalizations: to what extent these results will be found in other samples

Complete Implications:  new information to be learned from study/course of action

Complete Limitations: deficiencies and limitations

Complete Suggestions for Future Research: for you or other researchers

Complete the Appendix: As appropriate (Questionnaire, etc.)

Complete the Abstract and place in the appropriate location.
