This week’s assignment should be submitted in APA format, which is at least 5 full pages of content, not counting the title page and the references page. In previous weeks, you researched specific crimes, methodologies, theories, and findings. This week, you continue to examine studies of different crimes, specifically burglary, as highlighted in Chapter 11.

For this assignment, complete the following:

1. What may make a home or dwelling a less suitable target for burglars? How might this help law enforcement?
2. What do the burglary typologies in Chapter 11 tell you about the motives and methods for this crime? How can this information be used to prevent burglary?
3. What do the arson typologies in Chapter 11 tell you about the motives and methods for this crime? How can this information be used to prevent arson?
4. Develop and explain a current study protocol to research motives and methodologies behind burglaries. This protocol should include a research question, a purpose statement, a problem statement, and a method of collecting the data (e.g., surveys and interviews with burglars, victims, law enforcement, or others), as well as how you will analyze the data to make potential policy changes to prevent burglaries.
