Did you improve your ability during this semester? Maybe a lot of people have not felt their improved this semester because we do not easily feel our enhanced ability. Today I am going to write about my little change in English class. I have written many essays during this semester about Meditated Values Essay, Summary and Synthesis Essay and Podcast/Statement of Goals and Choice. Also, we read classmates' essays and gave feedback to each other in Eli Review. We did many things, but we would not feel our improve skills. However, I am sure that we have improved a lot during our English class. I want to analyze whether there was a positive change in English class and talk about my experience.
About Meditated Values Essay
This essay was to express what we gained values through media. Typically, classmates wanted to write essays about the value they earned in movies. Also, I felt that the first assignment was interesting because even if we have the same experience at the same time, we have different results. One day we had to choose topic in the class. However, I do not know American movie names because I am from South Korea and I lived in America for a year. This time I was embarrassed. I just remembered the Iron Man movie title. I chose my topic to Iron Man in the class. In fact, most people would have thought of this film as a simple interest thing, but I think that everything has meaning and value. I found the value that I think in this movie. First, Iron Man shows some future technology. Second, this movie shows that the world will be more be more peaceful place without advanced technological weapons. At last, this movie show that the educating children on both sides of technology is important. Perhaps most people would have found something different with me. This is an important point. I think that the purpose of this assignment is to find value in the media and to persuade it in our essay.
About Summary and Synthesis Essay
Do you think the summary is easy? I think that summary is difficult because if you want to make a summary, you need to understand the key issues in article. It was time to learn how to identify key sentences and reconstruct them with key sentence content. Also, I think that if I want to summarize, I should read some article and understand it perfectly. This assistant is super difficult to me. the reason is that I can speak and understand Korean freely, but English is not as good as Korean. However, I did not think it was impossible to summarize. Actually, I graduated from university in South Korea. I think that the greatest advantage of the education system in the United states is that the curriculum is good. In other words, this means that all students can understand syllabus in advance and easily understand prior learning or learning objectives. So I seemed to be able to understand this take a little more easily. What I learned from this assignment is that I think that if we read one article at a given time, it improves our ability to understand quickly and accurately. You may think that the summary is simple, but I think that you need comprehension to get the summary right.
About Podcast/Statement of Goals and Choice
I think it was on of my favorite assignment because I think that I got a lot through this assignment. For the first time, I also conducted interviews in English. I knew that I had to think a lot of preparations and variables to conduct the interview and I learned from interviews that I have good friends around me. My friends were willing to help me positively about my podcast. In fact, when I received the podcast assignment, I had a lot of worries. I am a foreigner and this semester is my first semester. That's why I thought there not many friends in America. However, I felt through this assignment that I have good friends. Also, I learned how important background music is in my podcast through audio editing. In this one assignment, I could easily understand the importance of the atmosphere of the writing, the tone of the word s and the rhetorical technique. Also, in this assignment, I was able to compare my expected results with the actual interview results. In fact, our lives are a time of choice each time, so I thought that Goals and Choice essay resembles life of. In order to set goals, we had to choose a variety of methods. I needed a lot of attempts to choose the best way. Even if you find the best way, you will not get the expected results correctly. Suddenly Thomas Edison's words came to mind "There are no rules here, we are trying to accomplish something" and "Many of life's failures are those who did not know how close they were to success when they gave up" I fialed many interviews and audio editing. But I tried and succeeded in summitting the assignment. I seem to have made many memories during my assignment.

Sometimes we make mistakes while we are doing assignments. However, during this semester, I read my classmates' essays and gained feedback on my mistakes and good parts of my friends. Also, I did not have much experience with English essays, so their feedback gave me good information. I think that feedback of this way is a very good method. My progress through English class
I learned a lot about American culture by learning a lot of essay skills through English class. Now I am not satisfied with my English ability so far, but I am sure that I will improve my English ability when I try my best not to forget what I learned in this semester. During my class in this semester, this English class was my happiest and most important class. I really think that I have received love and consideration from my teachers and classmates in English class.
