Dietary Analysis Project: This written assignment assesses your knowledge of the nutrition module by having you track 3 days of food/liquid intake, create a modified 3-day plan to improve upon, and discussing what you learned. The due date for this project is November 18, 2025 and all content is submitted as one document via Microsoft Word (further details below).

Steps:

1. Track your food/liquid intake for 3 days and create your own table showcasing the product name / estimated portion size. MyFitnessPal example.docxDownload MyFitnessPal example.docx

2. Enter the content into MyFitnessPal (free app) and add screenshots of each day's pie chart recap (shown in the template). 

3. Next, look at the diet and consider what you could have done to make improvements for those 3 days. You now create a modified table of a new 3-day plan and re-enter it into MyFitnesPal for the modified 3-day screenshots. 

• You should now have 2 tables & 6 screenshots (worth 50% of the grade)

4. For the writing portion (50% of grade), you have a wide range of topics that could be discussed. First, give a general recap of your original food eaten for 3 days and then explain how your new modifications could have been more beneficial. Usually some common topics students discuss are the high amount of fast food eaten, high levels of sodium, if they often miss meals, etc. Some examples are included in the template. 

The writing portion for this project must be 600 words in length.
