Discussion #006THIS EXERCISE WAS PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED WHEN YOU BEGAN WORK ON RESEARCH PROJECT #1; YOU NEED TO COMPLETE AGAIN AS YOU BEGIN WORK ON RESEARCH PROJECT #2. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE SOURCE AND TOPIC REQUIREMENTS FOR RESEARCH PROJECT #2, WHICH CAN BE FOUND IN THE UNIT 2 NOTES UNDER "MY COURSE CONTENT": THIS PROJECT WILL REQUIRE YOU TO CONDUCT YOUR OWN INTERVIEW AND/OR SURVEY. * Because of this requirement, for this project you must select a topic with a local focus (a problem you identify within your community, the university, your workplace, etc. -- and how to solve it). This will allow you to use your fellow students, colleagues, university faculty, etc. as your interviewees, survey participants, etc. For instance, maybe your workplace has instituted a new policy about monitoring employees' use of the Internet at work, and you want to argue against this practice. Before posting original response:Step 1. You must first complete all of Exercise 1.1 on pp. 23-26 (though you do not have to post here the results of your completed exercise, you cannot continue with essay or complete this discussion post if you do not complete this exercise first). For this course, consider that your topic must be one that lends itself to argument or an original idea of some sort: it may not be simply present historical fact, information, etc.Step 2. Complete Exercise 1.3, pp. 40-41, Steps 1-4 (except instead of on a large piece of paper on the wall, use Word since we are not completing this together in a physical classroom).Step 3. For your original post here, post your brainstormed list of questions (Step 4 of Exercise 1.3). At the very minimum, include three questions. For you peer response:Step 4. Respond to one other student. Review the questions he/she has generated. Then, 1. identify which question on the list you would be most interested in having answered (and why) and 2. add a question you would like answered about that topic (that is not already on the list).
