After reading the material, write a discussion post. In doing this,  summarize each of the documents. Then, on the basis of the readings, describe the situation of the Chinese immigrants and their critics. In doing so, answer all of the following questions: What were the Chinese immigrants like? Who were their critics? What social class did the critics belong to? Why did they criticize the Chinese? Who were the defenders of the Chinese? What was their social class?
