The American Politics:

Our text mentions an authoritative study which shows "that middle-class and lower-income Americans know surprisingly little about the economy and tend to support government policies that make their economic positions worse" (Greenberg and Page).  Discuss how it could be that some people vote against their own economic self-interest--what factors could be at work here?  You must write at least 150 words to receive credit.
