Discussion: Roadmap to ICT enabled Energy-Efficiency in Buildings and constructions

In Figure 18.1, Janssen, Wimmer, and Deljoo (2015) shows the five different information and communications technology (ICT) enablers of energy efficiency identified by European strategic research Roadmap to ICT enabled Energy-Efficiency in Buildings and constructions (REEB) (2010). The roadmap encompasses the ICT’s contributions to the energy of buildings with regards to design tools, automation & control systems, decision support to various stakeholders throughout the whole life of buildings, etc.
