The purpose of the discussion question is to allow you to demonstrate your understanding of the key learning points and how you might apply them in a given situation. Participating in the discussion question forum provides you with an opportunity to compare your ideas to ideas from others in your class.

Compare and contrast the various scaling methods. Explain why scalability is a key business issue for websites. Provide an example of a website that you think is a good representation of scalability.

To earn full credit, post an initial response of a minimum of 500 words that includes at least one APA citation and the associated reference.

ASSIGNMENT

Visit oecd-ilibrary.org and rand.org and check out the OECD’s and RAND’s library—they are extensive collections of documents and research on matters affecting the global economy.  Skim their e-commerce (and related) publications and take notice of which publications grab your attention.

Goal.  Using OECD’s and RAND’s vast collections, create a 5-7 page APA-formatted essay comparing and contrasting perspectives regarding e-commerce.  You must compare and contrast two publications from OECD and two from RAND.  (You should be comparing and contrasting a total of four publications.)
