Diurnal Stability Change

In your initial post, after reading 1900 Galveston Hurricane and watching Tornadoes of 2014: Best, Worst, Most Beautiful, and Ugliest, briefly compare and contrast the different weather events. Then discuss the following: If you were living in Galveston at the time, how could you have used your scientific knowledge to help the city deal with the hurricane?
