Do not tell the person not to do something without an explanation or try to share personal experience. In a case of a colleague who refused to do his or her assignments and let most of the work for me. I can tell my college to complete the assignment to avoid suspension, but also give him a reason to complete it while providing information about the policy that stated if an employee is not working on an assignment then they will be suspended, and I will not cover for him or her. My interpersonal Communication skills result shows that I have the tendency to sense when someone is confused or unconformable in a conversation. I think that I should try to find a way to improve my skill to better understand others while practicing communication more often since I have the difficulty to express myself and tend to write or type things the most. Therefore, I will use some of the techniques that Stewart (2014) described to better understand myself and apply my skills at the workplace and in the community. Learning to open more in a conversation that lead to self-disclosure as well as focusing more on the way the other person receives my message.
