 Write a film analysis of White Material by Claire Denis (BOBST will have a DVD) and a separate film analysis"Territory" by The Blaze (you can find this on YouTube) - Each should be at least 3-4 pages 

In these analysis, I want you to resort to texts that we have read throughout the course and I want to see you use technical film terms & formal elements to support your argument about the film and video (these formal elements can be found in the material we have read from Film Art). 

- How does the camera work (cinematography and mise-en-scene & editing & sound) help us make sense of the politics of representation?

- How does the history of colonialism and the after-life or effects of colonialism show themselves in the film?

- How does the film or video interrogate gender roles and sexual politics in relation to the history of colonialism. 

- Write a film log for Un Prophete(1 page). Here are some guiding questions:
