use narrative form that develops your thoughts on each of the following subjects—about 250 words total:

a. Describe 3 things you find beauty in.

b. Describe three things you find disturbing.

c.  Describe your first experience with art (any form that made  an impact on you).

2. The Artist and Spirit/response to samsara and assigned readings 

a.  Your response to the film. Describe what “spirit” means to you.

b.  Describe your feelings/opinion regarding the relationship between art and spirit.

Think about possible links between the ideas in “How to Look at Sand” and ideas in SAMSARA; where can you find resonances between the essay and the film?
