Dr. King's non-violent protests and showing my community the power of our voices. MY great-great grandma experienced and lived through segregation & Jim Crow laws, which led her to participate as an active member of Oakland's Very own black panther party.

Dr. Kings believed in community action and the importance of coming together

Dr. King's moral impact through his " I Have a Dream" speech and Letter from Birmingham, Alabama gave all people a sense of hope and prosperity ,talk how his dream, gave me the opportunity as a little black to be educated and valued as a human being. His values of community service helped shape my own acts of service.
