Essentially, Phase II is the research portion of your paper. So far, you've clearly identified a legitimate issue with credible, scholarly arguers presenting competing views on the matter.

Now your job is to carefully read and analyze at least twocredible, scholarly or professional sources foreach sideof the issue. (See Chapter 12 for examples of what this means.) For each source, make it clear why you find this author a credible source on this particular issue, which side the arguer is defending, and what specific premises (reasons) they offer to support that view.

ALL arguments must be explained in ordinary, narrative form. In other words, for each source you will write 1-2 paragraphs outlining what the author believes, and what premises they offer to support that view (narrative).
