Ethical Dilemmas 1:

A resident lives in a log-term care facility and has Haw River syndrome or disease. His health has been declining over the last year. A sister dies in the beginning of the last year and the mother die in October of last year. He had a very close relationship with his mother who uses to visit him regularly. However, the sister who is the guardian and family has not told him that either his sister or mother has died.

Health's Care Organization point of View : They wanted to tell him about both his mother and sister death, because he has outburst and becomes very upset that he can't talk to his mother. At times causing him to get sick, although his body is physically failing and he can verbalize as use too, he still can comprehend conversations. According to Seedhouse, (2009) an organization has to be ethics and health care are inextricably bound together and creates a firm theoretical basis for practical decision-making.

Family Point of view:  One sister is the legal guardian. They fill that if they tell him about his mother or sister that he will get much sicker than he is and as a family have decide not to, although they told the Health care organization that as a family they would discuss it.

Patient Point of View:  He just wants to talk to his mother and if family were honest with him he may be stronger than they think.

Ethical Dilemmas 2:

A teenager gets pregnant her 16 year old and it consensual with a boy 16 year old. Her parents want her to give the baby up for an adoption.

Community's point of view:  say she is too young and should give the baby up for adoption.

Family's Point of view:  They too think that she is too young and that she messing up her life and the baby's father will amount to nothing.

Patient's point of View:  It's her baby and she feels that she should be able to do what she wants with her baby and make her own decision.
