An organization that I am familiar with and is using IT solutions is Costco. In the past, Costco relied on applications such as Excel and printed proofs to manage the process. However, has ventured into IT solution is now using automatic information management processes to enhance its packaging graphics and marketing communication activities. The software used in this automatic management process is known as Paxonix's PaxPro software. The IT is a Web-based solution and therefore, can provide real-time accessibility and visibility of information. The software has made it possible for the marketing department of Costco to automate and streamline various marketing processes and activities to help meet rising market demands for its package designs. The software has also made it possible for the organization to offer marketing collateral to its retail locations. Costco can now enjoy a flexible and easy-to-use system that can automate most of its processes and make essential information needed by the personnel accessible.
While automation and streamlining of the packaging graphics and marketing are some of the solutions already in place, there are several areas where Costco can still use Paxonix's PaxPro software. These include auditing activities, tracking the history of vendors and workflow for the employees. Paxonix's PaxPro software can also be used to enhance accessibility and retrieving all records and transactions in its retail outlets related to customer demand.
The lack of IT solution such as Paxonix's PaxPro software would mean that accessibility of information cannot be real-time (Dar, 2019). The result is delayed decisions and approval of processes. Secondly, without Paxonix's PaxPro software, Costco will not have streamlined and automated processes and thus, leading to reduced efficiencies. Externally, activities such as marketing efforts will be slowed, and the departments of retail outlets would not be able to communicate effectively as they may need to rely on paper-based communication instead of cloud-based solutions (Ciobanu & Neamţu, 2017)
