Explain the process of early America's political transition from the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution.

 In your own words, explain the process of early America's political transition from the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution.  What were some of the strengths and weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation?  What type of power did the national government, state governments, and citizens have under these articles?  How did this lead to the creation and ratification of the Constitution in 1788?  To help guide you through this transition, watch the YouTube video in the following link.

 The video will be useful in helping explain some of the major points of conflict and compromise, but when writing your response, you must include at least four citations from the book and the primary sources included below to support your claims.  There are three primary sources included in this assignment, and students must incorporate textbook information and at least two of the three sources in their response.  Be sure to cite these sources in Chicago style and do not bring in any other outside sources.  The paper should be about 1.5-2 pages in length, with 12 point font and double-spaced.
