Explain the relationship between photosynthesis and respiration

No equals no cellular respiration.

Photosynthesis provides the food needed for a plant to operate. Without photosynthesis, the entire plant will shut down and stop working altogether. Photosynthesis provides cellular respiration the fuel to carry out its task (Which is to create energy for the cell).
