Final Essay: Traditional Approach

Directions & Requirements: Write a 6 page double spaced (1,500+ word) analysis essay on the following topic below. 

• I would prefer that you not use secondary sources unless there is a need to include biographical/historical information. Rely on your own reading of the stories and not on the reviews/critiques of others.
• Follow MLA formatting guidelines.

AI Use Statement: Required

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Statement: 150-200-word Statement (does not count towards the word length of the essay)At the end of the essay, in a separate section, please write a paragraph of approximately 150-200 words answering the following questions:
  • How did you use ChatGPT or another generative AI program? Identify which tool(s) you used and explain how you used it and whether you found it valuable or not.
  • If you did NOT use a generative AI  program, why didn't you? Explain.

Parents and Children

Building on discussions we have had in this course, analyze two or three stories that focus on the relationships between parents and children. You might want to examine the causes of tension between parents and children and analyze how the conflict is resolved.
