1) When furniture is tested for flammability, how are tests set up, and what types of ignition sources are used? What does the testing process involve? Describe the procedure(s) involved in laboratory testing of furniture in the United States, giving details of specific and applicable standards used during the testing process. Identify the specific instrument that is used and discuss its purpose. Your response must be at least 100 words in length. 2) Synthetic fibers are found in virtually all forms of clothing worn by humans. Unlike clothing made using natural fibers, these synthetic materials are often less expensive and have greater durability and longevity. Identify and describe at least two of each type of fiber (petroleum- and non-petroleum-based), including their common market names and how each is most likely to react when exposed to flame.
