First, choose a print advertisement of a current American product.  You can find these on tumblr or just google an ad for a product that you use.  This ad needs to have appeared in a magazine or website.  It cannot be an altered image or meme.

Make sure you include the ad with your analysis.  You can do this by clicking on the "insert image" icon in the thread window.

Second, write an analysis of your print ad that includes the following:

1) Purpose

2) Audience

3) Context

4) Explain how it reflects American values in the 21st century

Make sure that you address the Ethos, Pathos, and Logos within the categories above.

Your initial response format will be different in that you will can number each step and then write your response under each number.  Just make sure you initial response is detailed and in complete sentences.
