Follow the student guide and record the results in the following data table.
Conduct Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the experiment and use screenshots (snipping tool or crop full screenshots - http://www.take-a-screenshot.org, or search the internet how to take and crop a screenshot for your computer). Paste the results into the “Insert your screenshot here” field of the table below. Size the image so that it fits inside the table. As an alternative, add the screenshots at the end of the report and create captions, for example “Phase 1 and 2: Indicators for starch and protein and controls” to be put right below the screenshot.
Write down the colors for a positive test for Starch and Protein in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the experiment and for Lipid in Phase3 of the experiment.
Proceed with Phases 4 and 5 taking screenshots and adding it to the table.
Write down the colors indicated for Starch, Protein and Lipid for the Unknown (Phase 4) and Milk (Phase 5)
Indicate the presence or absence of Starch, Protein and Lipid for the Unknown and Milk by comparing the colors to those of Phases 1, 2 and 3 and by choosing Positive_x_ (macromolecule is present) or Negative_x_ (macromolecule is absent)
